Welcome to our website!
We are the Ferris State Athletics Dance Team. We are the official dance team of Ferris State Universiy. We are a Registered Student Organization and a Club Sport. We are fully student run.
We perform throughout the year at home football and basketball games, along with other various campus events such as the homecoming bonfire. The styles we perform are jazz, pom, and hiphop. You can see us dancing on the sidelines to the FSU Pep Band and performing during halftime of football and basketball games.
In April of 2015 we competed at NDA nationals for the first time in our school's history! This year we are attending UDA camp in Wisconsin during the end of July, and we will be attending UDA nationals in Orlando, Florida in January 2016!
This year you can look forward to all new dances choreographed by our team and occasionally guest choreographers. We will hold two tryouts: one the beginning of the school year in September, and one at the end of the year in May for the following year. We look forward to holding fundraisers around Big Rapids including dance clinics for children, and giving back to our community.

Background Information:
Jessica's home studio is Dancers Edge, and she holds mutiple titles from UDA nationals and The Dance Worlds. She was also a member of her high school dance team for all four years. A master of various styles of dance, she runs the team with vast knowledge, and is one of the main choreographers. Jessica will graduate from the Ferris State College of Pharmacy in May 2017, and continues to be successful in both school and dance. Her world titles include: Senior Pom 2008 and 2011 World Champion, Senior Jazz 2008 and 2011 Silver Medalist, International Open Jazz 2011 and 2013 Silver Medalist, Senior Jazz 2009 and 2010 Bronze Medalist, and winner of the 2013 USA World Cup.
Katie's home studio is Main Stage Center for the Arts, and she has danced competitively for 12 years with vigorous training in the Cecchetti method of ballet. She currently teaches multiple styles of dance at Rhythmic Sky Dance Studio, located in Big Rapids. Trained in numerous disciplines of dance, Katie is one of the main choreographers of all team dances. Katie was accepted into pharmacy school for Fall of 2015, and will also finish a Bachelor's of Science in Biology with a minor in Spanish by Spring 2016. Katie and her studio have been represented in several competitions such as KAR, Applause, Nuvo, and JUMP.
